A powerful earthquake with a magnitude of 7.1 struck Nepal, with tremors felt in Delhi-NCR, Bihar, and other parts of North India.

The United States Geological Survey (USGS) reported the earthquake occurred at 6:35 am, 93 km northeast of Lobuche, near the Nepal-Tibet border.

Tremors Felt in India

The tremors were strongly felt in Bihar, with people seen outside their homes and apartments, while no damage to property has been reported.

Lobuche is situated in Nepal, to the east of Kathmandu, near the Khumbu Glacier, and about 150 kilometers from the capital.

The National Centre for Seismology (NCS) reported the quake at 6:35 AM (IST), with its epicenter located at latitude 28.86 degrees North and longitude 87.51 degrees East.

Multiple Earthquakes Strike

Two more earthquakes struck the region later in the morning, with magnitudes 4.7 and 4.9, and epicenters located in Xizang (Tibet Autonomous Region).
